Recurring Invoice - Issue date vs Tax Date

How would this feature be used?
I take payments by variable Direct Debit on 1st of the month. I send out invoices to the clients 8 days in advance of payment being collected. I would like the Tax Date of the Invoices I send out to state the 1st of the (next) month, but I need to set the recurring invoice date to 23rd of the month so that I can review and approve the invoices. Would it be possible to add a field to the Invoice Template stating the Tax Date of the invoice?
