Recurring Invoice Schedule for GoCardless

Hi,
I have a GoCardless Subscription payment setup to collect payments on the last day of every month. However, GoCardless always collect payments on the last business day of the month, so for January that is today. My Quickfile recurring invoice template for these payments is scheduled to go out at the end of the month (in this case tomorrow) which means the client is getting charged before the invoice arrives. Is there anyway to have Quickfile automatically send out the invoice on the last business day instead of the last day?.

I’m aware there is also a GoCardless integration with Quickfile which I’m not currently using. I’m a bit reluctant to try this incase it means I need to change the GoCardless mandate in some way?.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi @agtdesigns

There isn’t a way to set it up for the last business day of the month in QuickFile, only the last day, unfortunately -

That said, you’re welcome to start a Feature Request for this if you wish, and we can consider it for future development.

If you were to switch to QuickFile for the recurring invoice and direct debit trigger, there wouldn’t be any need to change the mandate. The only thing you would need to do is cancel the collection on GoCardless itself, otherwise you end up with two - one from QuickFile, and one from GoCardless directly.

Thank you for the helpful reply. If I chose a starting date of 27th February and then set the schedule to Monthly, will that always send the invoice on the 27th regardless of what month it is?
