“Send only when balance exists” is that overdue balance or any balance??
I have found that it sends if there have been any transactions in the period even if the result is a nil balance. I haven’t run any deliberate tests to see what it does with inactive accounts.

This would be sent when there is an outstanding balance. It doesn’t necessarily have to be overdue.
