Hello Sam
QuickFile is a single company product, meaning you can only have 1 company linked to a single email address.
There is nothing to stop you signing in to a second company using a different email address.
My accountants (quickfile users) have said because she has a log in for another company who she works for, she can’t have another for mine!
Alternatively we have a dedicated platform for Accountants and Bookkeepers called [Affinity.](QuickFile Affinity overview which they can use)
Sorry steve bit confused.
So your saying if she uses an email to access another client account, she can’t use the same email address? I had my wife who id admin and someone else before. So its not a case of i can’t team members, just can’t have 2 emails reg to quickfile.
The only way around is her requesting with another email address?
Thanks
Sam
Hello Sam
If they access another client using an email they would either need to use Affinity (to connect to multiple clients using the same email) or use a different email address (not linked to another QuickFile account) to connect to your account.
If you run your own email domain then you can set up an address like accountant@mycompany.co.uk and use that for the accountant’s “team member” account.
If your main email is on gmail or outlook/MS 365 then you can use the fact that these providers ignore any +suffix before the @ when routing email. This means if your main address is mycompany@gmail.com then email addressed to mycompany+anything@gmail.com will also arrive in your same inbox. But such addresses are different as far as QuickFile is concerned, so you could use mycompany+accountant@gmail.com for your accountant’s team member login.
If you want to be really clever, you can set up a filter on the gmail side to forward these +accountant messages to the accountant’s real email address, but this part is optional.
