I have classified this request as a bug because it is just that, rather than a feature.
Currently QF permits HTML formatting within text fields, which is a very good and powerful feature.
However, when the system extracts the first line of an invoice or estimate to use as the Name of the invoice/estimate, it fails to remove the HTML formatting code.
Thus, when using HTML formatting all that we see in the Name field for an invoice/estimate is the HTML formatting code which is pretty useless in identifying the invoice/estimate.
Should be a very simple thing to fix.

I’ve moved this back to #support as stripping the HTML isn’t something that’s actually supported at the moment.
But I will pass your feedback on to our development team, and let you know if anything changes here.
You can manually enter your own invoice name in the box, if you turn on the feature, “Name Invoices On Creation”
This will override what the system creates for you. Box is below the invoice when creating one.
Setting is in, account settings, advance settings.
