Replaced project tags but old tags disappeared and new tags not allocated

I used the ‘replace tags’ option for projects tags (‘project tag details’ → Show All tagged Items → Select All entries-> Update Tags → Replaced Tags).

All entries had an ‘SP2’ tag and I entered ‘SP23’ (which did not exist but I presumed a new tag would be created).

However, entries all disappeared and have no tags and are now lost. Any way I can get them back as it will take hours to go though and identify them again.

I am guessing you did something similar to the clip below.

When you type in a new tag name you need to click create new tag if it does not exist

No way to recover this once changed.

I would recommend looking at your backup (which I just sent you and includes project data then use the update tags ) to assign the relevant invoices to the new project tag (SP23).
