Today I registered for MTD as a sole trader. This was incorrect and I should have registered as a Landlord. I asked for the account to be deleted. I have just been in to re-register as a Landlord but I am unable to use the same login name as it is already in use. How long should I wait before I can use the previous login details (which is my name and so no one else is using it)?

You would need to make sure the old account is deleted.
You can delete your account from the account settings area once logged in. Please look for the “Clear all data in your account” option.

Thank you. I don’t think I had waited long enough after I asked for the account to be deleted. I have just been able to set up a new account as a Landlord. Many thanks.
