Running reports on historical data

I am trying to generate a report to show the sum of all salaries and dividends paid out since I started using Quickfile in 2019. I seem to be able to generate a graph but what I want is a total.

And incidentally, I don’t understand the graph. It starts off at From 31/03/2024 and ends up at To 31/03/2026. If I change those dates (even setting ‘All accounting periods’), the graph keeps replacing the dates and setting them back 2024-26.

And - the graph starts off as a negative number in the Y-axis and drops to an even more negative number in the Y-axis but seems limited to 2 years. I assume the most negative number is the total salaries and dividends from the beginning of time until the end of the To date?

For the totals, you could open the Reports > Chart of accounts screen, enter the date range and look at the specific code.

The total is in the top right or you could choose to export the report.
