Safe to delete dropbox receipts?

Is it safe to delete receipts from the ‘Imported’ folders on Dropbox? I need to free some space - I still have the original paper receipts stuffed in a box as a backup. Presumably, Quickfile stores these receipts somewhere else?

Yes Quickfile stores these receipts so you can safely delete or copy somewhere else as a backup. My imported folder is backed up then deleted automatically weekly.

@Lurch Thanks, that’s reassuring. The auto delete: is that set up in dropbox or quickfile?

My NAS actually does that with a cron job (scheduled task) as it syncs the Dropbox/Drive etc folders so it’s deleted and backed up locally on the NAS which then syncs the delete to “The Cloud”.

You could achieve the same thing if you have a Dropbox client/folder on your PC, just set a scheduled task to run weekly which moves the files from the Dropbox Imported folder to a local folder.
