New here - the “manual” says “When you put your cursor in the “Item” column and start typing you will see a list of pre-saved inventory items.” When I start new invoice I only get items that use the letters I have put in rather than the entire list so I can chose. I have a long list so being able to select rather than remember is a better way of operating. Which is correct please?
Hello @Macro
The sales inventory was designed to be a way to save time when entering descriptions.
Usually an inventory item should have an item name which relates to the product.
I agree but when you have a longish list of items recalling what short code you used in order to prompt a sub-set for choice requires the user having recall memory that isn’t always available
Having a list of all where you can choose would make it simpler.
There was a similar request from a user that had ISBN numbers where he wanted a list of the actual titles as it would be easier
Hello @Macro
It is not something we are planning on making changes to in the near future but you can raise a feature request in the forum for it.
A feature request allows other users to add their vote so we can monitor how popular it is.

As I mentioned the sales inventory was never meant to be to store a product list, just a way to enter descriptions quicker.
