Segmented P&L - Viewing Quarterly Periods

On my Segmented P&L the default view is months. If I change this to quarters it shows me the current quarter and the previous 3. Clicking the back arrow then shows me the 4 quarters previous to that, clicking the forwards arrow then shows me the current year Q1-Q4, then clicking the back arrow shows me last years Q1-Q4, and clicking back again shows me the previous years Q4, then clicking forward skips last years period and jumps to the current period.

Really there’s 2 issues here I think, it shows the initial view as offset whereas it should ideally be the current year only and then the back/forwards buttons skip a year (or maybe more, I have no more quarters to iterate through).

What back arrow are you clicking?

On my account is shows all quarters since the first entry on the account.

Sorry. it was meant to say Segmented P&L. The keys are like right next to each other!

It should show the last 4 (not necessarily grouped by year). On my account I see the following

On load:

2015-Q3
2015-Q2
2015-Q1
2014-Q4

Back cursor clicked:

2014-Q3
2014-Q2
2014-Q1
2013-Q4

Forward cursor clicked (same as 1st block):

2015-Q3
2015-Q2	
2015-Q1	
2014-Q4

Back cursor clicked twice:

2013-Q3
2013-Q2
2013-Q1	
2012-Q4

This seems right to me. Do you mind if I check your account to see if there’s something happening different there?

Just to clarify, I get;

Back arrow

2013-Q4 2014-Q1 2014-Q2 2014-Q3

Forward arrow (should have 2014-Q4 in this)

2015-Q1 2015-Q2 2015-Q3 2015-Q4 (showing all zeros)

I can sort of see why it is current period and the previous 3 but it would be handy to be able to see 4 quarters of one year at a time.

I see a problem on your account going back once then forward again. It’s been logged but we have a few other more pressing things to deal with at the moment, although it should be fixed in a week.

The year grouping is a separate issue that will require a rewrite, this is probably not something we can do in the near future.

Obviously not a major issue so no rush, whenever you get a mo. :smile:

Again, not a major issue as the data is all there somewhere, and there is still the CSV (although I believe this would require you to download 2 CSV’s and combine them to view a full year in one place as it downloads a CSV of the current view).

I logged this earlier and asked if we could also implement the year grouping at the same time, so we’ll see.
