It’s 2026 and this error has still not been addressed. I checked the SMTP RFCs and ProtonMail’s interpretation of the anticipated message sequence is correct. I get the same error as the original poster and the same response from Proton support. Could QuickFile support please check the implementation and contact Proton for assistance if there is any ambiguity on what’s going wrong and how to fix it?
