SMTP Problems

All of a sudden I got a notification stating that my smtp settings had been deactivated.
I cannot seem to get the email settings working. Keeps saying “The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.5.1 Authentication Required.”

Any idea what is wrong?

We are currently looking into a problem with the SMTP service and I will update you shortly.


The problem we identified earlier shouldn’t affect custom SMTP configurations.

Can you try logging into GMail and check for any suspicious login attempt messages. Usually in the case of GMail they block 3rd party IP addresses like ours when they detect anything unusual.
