SMTP Timeout error

Hi,

I am getting the following message when setting up smtp. It fails with a timeout. Typically when I send from either outlook or thunderbird it is always a little slow which I assume is the mail server so is it possible ofr you to extend the time before it times uot and fails?

I think the timeout is 10 seconds. If your SMTP server doesn’t respond in 10 seconds then it will cause all manner of other problems in QuickFile.

However I doubt the timeout issue is actually caused by a slow mail server, It’s much more likely to be an incorrect port number, invalid credentials or the mail server is blocking our IP.

Can you confirm this with your email provider? If this is the case it shouldn’t be too difficult to get us white-listed.
