Hello,
I have prepared year end accounts using QuickFile and all looks good. Trial balance, Bank reconciliations all are the way they should be. I am now ready to submit the accounts to Companies house.
Can anybody please suggest me how to do that?
Best regards,
QuickFile has a list of accounts which may be of some help, which can be found here: https://accountants.quickfile.co.uk
Thanks QFSteve,
Thanks for your message. Cannot I submit them myself though QuickFile? Is there no tool available to submit them on QuickFile?
Hello @etaskisolution2
QuickFile does not produce the final accounts and there is no submission tool in the software.
I see that the online self-file service will close next year: Closure of the service to file your company accounts and tax return - GOV.UK
Are QF planning to offer the ability to file through it? I’d rather not move to another provider just so I can file my accounts.

It’s not as easy as it seems. There are potentially 2 sets of Accounts to prepare, one for Companies House and the other for HMRC. They both have to be in ixbrl format and the headings within the Accounts, have to be tagged to definitive fixed criteria as defined by the Companies Act. There are also different account types depending on the size of the company…micro entity, small, medium, large etc. Other commentators have suggested software which may be cost effective. Essentially, a trial balance from Quickfile is then input to a third party software, which generates the correct standardized formatting and can then be electronically filed with the 2 agencies…crazy, I know!
