The QuickFile/GoCardless integration allows a direct debit mandate to be set up by someone in another country - in my case a customer in Australia who used the QuickFile-generated link and successfully set up the mandate within GoCardless. But the integration doesn’t support collecting payment for an invoice that is not in GBP.
It would be great it the QuickFile integratoin could support the currencies that GoCardless supports, especially when it comes to collecting payment on recurring invoices (the business model we use), as then there is a single system for invoices and auto-billing payments.
One of my clients is based in the Netherlands, and has a monthly subscription to my IT services.
Until recently he paid me via PayPal, but he has now informed me that for administrative reasons he can no longer pay me via PayPal.
I’ve just learned that QF does not support SEPA Direct Debits via GoCardless, which doesn’t leave me with many options to collect payments that don’t involve significant bank fees and currency conversion fees.
I therefore would like to request for SEPA support to be added to the GoCardless integration.
In the meantime, it’s still certainly possible to trigger these directly on GoCardless, it would just require manually reconciling them on QuickFile.

I also noticed in the suggestions list that there’s work happening on adding an Open Banking feed for Transferwise, so that could be an alternative too.

I remember to have asked for this years ago, I suppose the feature requests get forgotten with time.
Gocardless now allow much easier to add an EUR account into their system and remove the fees if you get EUR into an EUR account.
All this of course does not work with quickfile…

Typical use case
Allow forign dd to be triggered from quickfile in gocardless so i can have everything automated using reoccuring invoices
