Switching between unit and time based entries


We sell both products (unit-based billing), and perform support/consultancy (time-based billing). Is there any way to switch on individual invoices between the two “types”?


If you go into Sales >> Invoice Customisation you can set an account level default so that any new invoices will automatically appear with either a time based entry or a item based entry.

You can also add a mix of time and unit entries on a single invoice. When you click ‘Add New Line’ when composing a new invoice, you’ll have the option there.

You can’t set default preferences for specific clients though only account level defaults.
