Switching Current Bank Account

Hi Support,

I stopped using my Mettle bank account on the 31st March 24, same as the last tagged item, I then continued using my Starling sole trading account - To date, my Starling Sole Trader Account balances up, no issues there, however, today I noticed, under all bank accounts, my former Mettle counts shows a positive balance of £2,683.10 GBP.

However no money remains in this account as it was closed, and my monthly bookkeeping, balances up, should the mettle account show a zero balance? have I done something wrong?

Hello @Evestaff

Was the balance on the account ever correct?
There was no opening balance entered on the account?

The balance is made up of the opening balance plus all the transactions on the account

Hi, Yes it was balanced, the last transaction of 700.50 on the 31st march, reconciled it to 0.00 which I then continued with my starling account. However yesterday, I created new loan (other) account to help me see how much I had loaned to my limited company shuffle residential limited, and moved my transactions from the Directors loan account to the new one named Shuffle Residential Ltd - Directors loan account, I saw this caused problems shifted the transactions back into the original directors loan account and deleted it. If I had a back up, Id simply prefer to roll it back

Hello @Evestaff

Unfortunately there’s not a function to “roll it back”. A backup just contains copies of all your ledgers in csv format.

You could use this or a bank statement to re reconcile the account.

Yes, I will be using the bank statements, thank you
