I am trying to link my invoices to my bank feed by inputting a code into the ‘Item’ column on the invoice. When the payment comes through on my bank feed I click ‘Tag’ and tag to the correct Invoice.
In the profit an loss report, instead of the payments going to the correct categories, i.e 4003 = Production, all sales are going straight to 4000 = General sales.
I am wondering how to correct this?

The nominal code is specified on the invoice (the default is 4000 unless you have changed it)
The “Item” column is for the inventory feature - not a full stock tracker but a feature where you can save reusable items to quickly add to your invoices to auto fill the description, vat rate, unit cost and (I believe) nominal code fields for that invoice line.
For ad hoc lines that don’t use inventory items, the screenshot above shows where you edit the per line nominal code.
