Unable to link HSBC Business account to Quickfile

I’ve recently started using QuickFile. I’m trying to link my HSBC Business account to QuickFile with Open Banking. I follow the process … it takes me to HSBC, and then the HSBC site says:

We’re unable to complete the request.

Please return to Quick File Ltd on behalf of QuickFile Accounting Software and try again later.

I searched online and saw that I’m not the first person to have this issue. Please help. Thank you!

What type of account is it? E.g. is it a current account, or a savings account?

Anything like this that relies on the interaction of different sites run by different organisations (in this case your bank and QuickFile) it’s always a good idea to try repeating the procedure in a different browser or a “private browsing” or “incognito” window, just in case it’s something like an ad blocker or other browser extension that is interfering.

That’s exactly what it was. I opened a new window using a “private” view, and it all worked.
