Unable to setup SMTP settings

Hi There,

I’m just trying out QuickFile for the first time to see if it’s a viable option and am stumbling at a couple of first hurdles.

The first is that open banking of Coop is not supported, I have seen and upvoted the feature request post but frustrating to see that it years in the making.

Anyway, this post is because I can’t get the SMTP service to work. I work in IT and like to think I know what I’m doing (don’t we all haha). I have used a powershell script to test sending email using my server externally and it works fine, it only fails via QuickFile. Any ideas please? It basically just times out.

Apologies for the delayed reply.

The Co-op bank uses a different interface to the Open Banking standard one, so it’s not as straightforward to add support for this.

If it was the standard Open Banking set up which is supported by all the banks we currently link to, we could definitely add it.

Never say never - keep an eye on the thread where we’ll share any updates.

What error message(s) are you seeing in QuickFile?
