I accidentally linked the wrong dropbox account but each time I disconnect and reconnect it defaults to the wrong account. Is there a way to start this process again so I can link the correct account?

Try logging completely out from Dropbox before you start the connection process (or use a private browsing window so it isn’t logged in to Dropbox in the first place).
