As you may be aware, from April 1st, 2027, Companies House will no longer offer paper or web-based filing services for submitting annual accounts. Additionally, HMRC’s Joint Filing Service for Corporation Tax will be decommissioned on March 31st, 2026.
While QuickFile has not historically offered built-in support for Corporation Tax or statutory account filings, we understand that many users have relied on these government-provided services to meet their year-end obligations. We’d like to take this opportunity to share our future plans and explain how QuickFile can support you during this transition.
How QuickFile Can Help
QuickFile remains committed to delivering a comprehensive, end-to-end accounts and Corporation Tax filing service aligned with the Making Tax Digital (MTD) initiative. However, the planned decommissioning of current HMRC and Companies House services is scheduled before the new MTD systems will be fully operational.
In the meantime, here are a couple of options available to you:
1. Managed Accounts and Tax Filing Service
QuickFile offers a competitively priced company accounts and tax filing service, starting from £100 + VAT. This one-off service is delivered through our network of qualified accountants.

2. Third-Party Software for Self-Filers
If you prefer to file your own accounts and tax returns, HMRC provides a list of approved third-party software providers, many of which support both Corporation Tax and Companies House filings.

When Will QuickFile Launch MTD-Compatible Filing?
At this stage, we do not have a confirmed release date for our MTD-compatible Corporation Tax and Accounts filing module. Progress will depend on the rollout timeline defined by HMRC. That said, we want to assure you that this remains a top priority and a key part of our long-term development strategy.
Preparing company accounts and Corporation Tax filings involves navigating a complex and evolving set of regulations. By focusing our efforts on MTD, we aim to provide a modern, intuitive, and future-proof solution that leverages the latest technology.
Developing a standalone product for the current framework would be resource-intensive and short-lived, given its impending replacement.
