Using Calendar Month in First Quarter of MTD for Self Employed

I am a self employed and have always reported using calendar month in self assessments (1 April to 31 March). I want to continue doing the same with MTD. I read about the topic on reporting 1 April to 5 April manually. However, I cannot find anywhere in the app where I can make this option (my accounting year in the app is already ending 31 March, but all my MTD workflow still shows the regular tax quarters). How/where should I go to change that?

Thanks @QFSteve , I had checked this before creating this topic. In here ( Check your Self-Assessment Business Details ) it says “If you’re eligible, the option to update your quarterly period will appear in the Business Details section”, however nothing shows to me (only 06/04/2026 - 05/04/2027), although in my yearly self assessments I have always used 01 April to 31 March, in Quickfile settings my accounting period ends in 31 March 2027, and in “MTD Self Assessment Settings” in Quickfile I included MTD Start Date: as 01/04/2026. So why there is no option to change that in Quickfile? I should not have in Quickfile app a MTD accounting period different than what I historically reported in Self Assessments.

Hi. It;s the same for me ! The link supplied by Steve is very clear, BUT I cannot see how to do the BSAS anywhere and Tax Quarters are showing for 2026/27 and not Calendar Quarters. I have also submitted a MANUAL Update from 04/04/2025 to 31/03/2026 and HMRC have accepted this submission with the reply “Report matches data held at HMRC., but now can’t find how to close 2025/26 Year end as the software is asking for a submission Q4 06/01/26 to 05/04/26. Totally bewildered as to how to proceed.
