VAT Date Range Items incorrect

Hello
I’ve just submitted my VAT return. It was the first time that I have done it linked up to HMRC.

It has included sales items outside the date range it was supposed to have done, thus my VAT liability is many thousands over what it should be.

Why did it include items outside the date range?
Will it do it again next time?
How do I correct this?

Probably becauae you didn’t specify the date you want the vat to start from.

Doesn’t it ask you to confirm the figures it is submitting at some point in the process?

Is this your first VAT return through QuickFile, or just your first one on MTD? Have you changed schemes at all (from cash to accrual, or vise-versa)?
