VAT Return information does not match manual calculations

Hi,

We are using Wordpress with EDD and to help account for VAT we are using the Barn 2 EU VAT plugin (Easy Digital Downloads EU VAT Plugin | Add VAT Support to EDD)

On Barn 2’s website they provide instructions for getting the data for the MOSS return (Export Easy Digital Downloads Data for the MOSS EU VAT Return)

I have followed Method 1 and Method 3 (both of which is EDD information) and I receive the same result which is.

Country Standard VAT Rate Value of Items (Excluding VAT) VAT
Spain 21% 1.00 0.21

However QF (for the same period) gives me this information.

As you can see the numbers differ greatly. To further complicate the issue I can’t even manually add the sales and/or purchases to achieve the same result that QF is telling me. There are less than 10 sales so the maths shouldn’t be hard, but for the life of me I have no idea how QF is calculating these numbers. Further more I can’t see a way to view the TRANSACTIONS QF is getting that information from to calculate the numbers, it’s a black box…

Any help?

It’s a little grey box in the top right corner actually, labelled “export”

Just to add to @ian_roberts’ post, you can also click the magnifying glass next to the box to view where that figure comes from. Where there’s no magnifying glass, it means the figure is calculated from the others (e.g. box 3 and 5).
