Year End not updating in Tax Report

Hi there.

I’m new to Quickfile. So far I haven’t run into too many problems but one thing is bothering me.

I have tried to change my tax year end from 05/04/19 to 31/12/18 in the Company Settings (I’m a sole trader and my tax year ends in December) but when I try to generate a Tax Summary report it is still set to the 5th of April.

What am I doing wrong?

The report is intended to be a basic report. My colleague touches on this point a bit more here:

This is a relatively basic report and It was always designed to mirror the tax year. Unfortunately at the moment we can’t support sole trader accounting periods that differ from the tax year. This would involve apportioning the profits/loss for potentially different tax rates and bandings, which really go beyond the scope of this tool.

Thanks for the reply. Not really a problem for me. It would have been nice to have but doesn’t spoil what is a very useful tool for me
