It sounds as though you’re trying to add a second account into your feed. To do this you would have to remove the feed and re-add it. This is because authorisation for account access with the bank is done during the set-up process.
Also, it is worth noting that both of your accounts would have to have the same log-in details, this is because only one connection per bank is supported.
Both accounts are the same login…Business current and savings running side by side.
Just to confirm… you are suggesting to remove the working feed to the current account then reconnect? Will that get the savings account then? It didn’t the first time?
Also I am sure that that when I setup the working bank feed I had the option for Yorkshire Bank in the list though Quickfile. Is this because I have already an active feed and with only one connection possible the option is now not showing?
That’s correct. You can only have 1 active feed per bank.
But during the linking process, the bank would give you the option to link any eligible accounts. Unfortunately, banks don’t allow you to change this once the link has been set up.
The good news is however, is that it does seem that savings accounts are generally available: Open Banking
So…if I revoke the feed now will the Yorkshire Bank feed option then show in the list?
Then setup the feed again and I should get the option to add the savings account at the same time?
A little nervous about cancelling the feed then being unable to set it up again for my the current account I have. The bank wont help as its a 3rd party app
You should, yes. But the list is controlled by your bank - we have no control over this list. Generally speaking, Yorkshire bank does support savings accounts, so I can’t see why it wouldn’t be there.
Although QuickFile is a third party, Open Banking is provided by your bank. If your account is missing from the list or you have issues connecting your accounts, it may very well be on the bank’s side, which is something we don’t have access to.
