You have not authorised a HMRC Tax account for online submissions or the account is not yet linked in the VAT settings. This return will not be electronically filed to HMRC

I have submitted the VAT return the same way every quarter, however now, I get this message:
you have not authorised a HMRC Tax account for online submissions or the account is not yet linked in the VAT settings. This return will not be electronically filed to HMRC.

I have been going round and round in circles. PLEASE HELP ME…

Hello @Annie-Wilding

Currently there is no HMRC account linked to the company in Reports > HMRC

Connect your tax account in this screen prior to viewing the returns.

Hello

I still have not got the link sorted.

I have the agent regarding this account ringing up hmrc for the phone number

To be changed and allow the access code to come through by phone

Will this then link Q File to hmrc

I have been going round in circles as I cannot work out your link below

Kind Regards

Ann

Hello Ann

In QuickFile you need to go to Reports > HMRC > Connect and log in with your HMRC tax account details to authorise us to access tour tax account details.

The steps are detailed ion the Article I sent you in my last response

I have done this, but I think it is all linked to the access code which

Is not ringing my number I have requested that the agent rings hmrc and

Changes the phone number then hopefully I will be able to access the code and it will correct it

I’m having the same problem as @Annie-Wilding. I have checked the information in the article but can’t find a problem. I’ve checked HMRC and QuickFile is authorised. The status is good, but I still can’t submit a return even though I have used exactly the same process as before. Note: I had a failed connection in November (I think the link had expired) but I got reconnected and submitted the tax return the same day.
