Detailed reporting by nominal code and project

I am a recent and enthusiastic new QuickFile user with previous experience of another well-known accounting package beginning with Q.

I work for a Community Interest Company and use project tags to track grant expenditure.

I would like to view detailed transaction reports by project tag and nominal code.

I can see a summary of expenditure by nominal account by viewing the P&L report under the project tag report. However, I cannot drill down into individual items.

In the project report I can “show tagged items” and view invoices tagged to a project, but this only gives me invoice totals, not the nominal codes added to the individual lines of expenditure within the invoice.

I would like to export a detailed, line by line report by nominal code for invoices coded to a project.

Is this possible, please? I cannot find information about this question in the help or on the forum.

Projects can not be assigned to item line data. They are assigned at an invoice level.

Currently there is not a report which will do this.

There is a feature request for this, please feel free to add your vote.

Show nominal codes and description within project report and exports

I have 2 limited companies that buy, renovate and rent out properties. I have set up a project tag for each property so I can tag related transactions. I want to analyse further by the type of transaction (based on the account code) but can’t because nominal postings from the Project report don’t show up in exports. For example - I would like to see and analyse my refurbishment, compliance and maintenance costs for each property. I could do that from to an extent from the Project P&L report but…
