As @FaradayKeynes says, you can simply delete the duplicate untagged transaction and that should all be fine.

Relating to the recon issue, I recently helped another user with this. You may wish to take a look at that post (below) and hopefully that’ll put you on the right track too.

Hi @TrishG The best way to do this is to use the recon tool, which would allow you to check the balances between certain dates. That way you can check it against your bank statements. If you have a lot of transactions, you could then check smaller periods. For example, use the tool to check your statements, let’s say until November 2016. In November 2016, you notice the balance is out by £25, but you have several pages of your statement, so break it down to smaller date ranges - weekly or eve…
