Hi, I have previously submitted two vat returns however I get a failure message and cannot understand why the message I get is
Vat return submission to HMRC failed.
By Gateway : Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service.
This seems to indicate that the government gateway is rejecting the login credentials you have saved in the VAT Settings area. Have you changed/reset the password? Have you tried using the same information to login from the HMRC website:
Hi yes had to get new id and password from hmrc, why it don’t know but now works fine again. Thanks for the help.
