Custom Client Email Templates
There may be times when you need to provide very specific instructions along with your invoices, estimates and statements for particular clients. Sometimes a “one size fits all” approach just doesn’t work. To assist you here we have now rolled out support for custom email templates targeted to specific clients.
You can access your general email communication templates in Account Settings >> Routine Emails. This will set the default email templates for your account. To setup a dedicated client email template all you need to do is head over to the relevant client detail screen, click on the “View” menu and select “Custom Email Templates”
You will now see a list of all configurable email template for your client. Find out more about custom client email templates here.
Tip: When you are viewing the account and client email templates, a green envelope icon indicates that you are using your own custom template.
New Dedicated Template for Recurring Invoices
We appreciate that you may want to alter your email message used on recurring invoices when compared to one-off invoices. Perhaps to advise your customer that payment will be taken automatically, or maybe you want to gently nudge your client to renew a subscription, rather than just sending them coldly sending them an invoice. We’ve now added a brand new template which you will find under the heading “New Invoice Raised From Recurring Invoice”
By default this will always assume the same template that you’re using for your one-off invoices. But now you can customise this and it will only be sent for invoices that are created from recurring templates.
Tip: You can use custom client email templates in combination with the dedicated recurring invoice template, to create targeted renewal notices for each client.
