Undo Year End

Hi,

I’m in a real pickle. I clicked on the year end process and it displayed a list of journals, I didn’t print the page or export to a .csv and because I I didn’t want to apply them I didn’t click on the save journals button. Instead I navigated away from the page thinking that the year end wouldn’t run. However, it would appear that the accounts for that year are now locked and that I can’t undo the lock and none of the journal activity for that year is showing. Ive changed the lock date but received a message that I need to remove the year end journal and I don’t know what journals need to be removed. I need to makes make additional journals for the year in question and see all the Nominal activity for that year. Can you help please?

You would also need to unlock your accounts, which you can do by going to Account Settings > All Settings > Account Lock Date

You can then set the date to a previous one, and make the changes you want.

Just re-run the end of year tool when you’re done.
